Introduction

This 2012 edition supersedes all previous editions, is arranged by county and includes citations to primary reference sources of published cemetery records for 151 of Georgia's 161 counties, which includes the obsolete counties of Campbell and Milton. Only 10 Georgia counties have no countywide cemetery publication:

  1. Atkinson
  2. Crisp
  3. Gilmer
  4. Morgan
  5. Rabun
  6. Chattooga
  7. Decatur
  8. Glynn
  9. Pike
  10. Rockdale

This list does not include: small or peripheral works, such as periodicals, Church or county histories, or individual cemetery publications which only contain a few particular or individual small cemetery records, nor does it contain any references to Georgia cemetery records on the Internet, such as will be found on www.findagrave.com. Researchers should refer to the Georgia Cemetery Directory for more detailed references to individual Georgia cemeteries.
